This certification bundle prepares you for the security engineer role in cloud and hybrid environments and leads to the Microsoft Certified: Cloud and AI Security Engineer Associate certification. You learn to design, implement and operate security controls across Azure, hybrid and AI environments, from identity and access to data, compute and posture management.
The bundle is built as a coherent progression in three steps. You first get the fundamentals in place with AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (cloud concepts, core Azure services, security, compliance and pricing). Next, you build practical operations skills with AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator, where you work with subscriptions, virtual machines, virtual networking, storage, identity and governance. This is exactly the hands-on Azure administration experience the security track requires.
The core of the bundle is SC-500 Implement end-to-end Security Controls for Cloud and AI Workloads. Here you secure identity and access with Microsoft Entra ID, protect storage, databases, networks, servers and containers, and monitor security posture with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel. A central focus is securing AI workloads, including Microsoft Copilot, autonomous agents and Microsoft Entra Agent ID.
Along the way, you also pass the AZ-104 exam and earn the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification. It is solid additional proof of your Azure skills on top of the security specialization.
You will be able to:
- Manage subscriptions, virtual machines, networks and storage in Azure
- Manage identity and access with Microsoft Entra ID, PIM and Conditional Access
- Protect storage, databases and networks against threats
- Secure compute, containers and AI workloads
- Monitor security posture with Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel

It's calm and quiet at SuperUsers' country venue. Good atmosphere and catering. Some thought has gone into healthy eating when it comes to food and cake, so it doesn't get completely out of hand.
The instructor is knowledgeable about the topics and readily puts them in a broader perspective by relating them to other relevant areas. It's rewarding that this is possible too, and it gives you ideas for further study.
