Description
This course gives you a thorough introduction to using Linux/UNIX, including key concepts, tools and methods. We work primarily with the command line and also look at the graphical user interface where it makes sense.
We follow the UNIX philosophy, “Do one thing and do it well,” and show how this principle still runs through modern system administration and automation. The course places particular emphasis on helping you understand how the tools fit together, and how you can solve complex tasks with a few simple commands and
You get a good overview of the internet capabilities available from Linux systems, and we work with Linux both locally and over a local network.
Throughout the course, there are many hands-on exercises that give you in-depth knowledge and practical experience relevant to everyday work with Linux and other UNIX-based systems.
This course has been part of the SuperUsers course catalog since 1984, which shows how relevant knowledge and skills in UNIX-based systems are across many parts of the IT world. In all modesty, SuperUsers is the Danish champion of Linux/UNIX and has run by far the most Linux and UNIX courses in Denmark.
Whether you work in operations, development, scripting or support, after the course you will be able to find your way around a UNIX/Linux environment with ease and understand how the system's structure and tools give you control and flexibility in your daily work.

It's calm and quiet at SuperUsers' country venue. Good atmosphere and catering. Some thought has gone into healthy eating when it comes to food and cake, so it doesn't get completely out of hand.
The instructor is knowledgeable about the topics and readily puts them in a broader perspective by relating them to other relevant areas. It's rewarding that this is possible too, and it gives you ideas for further study.
